CLASSIFICATION: Senior Multimedia Designer
SALARY GRADE: 8 (Non-Exempt/APSEA)
DEPARTMENT: Communications

EDUCATION
- Community college degree, equivalent technical training, or professional certification in graphic design, digital media, or a related field
QUALIFICATIONS
- Five to seven years of professional experience in graphic design, with demonstrated work in digital content creation, social media graphics, and print production
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; After Effects a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with social media content formats, optimization principles, and current digital design trends
- Knowledge of Fiery Command Workstation and digital print workflows
- Ability to create content for rapid-turnaround communications
- Strong file-management and digital asset organization skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and produce digital content for websites, social media, email campaigns, presentations, and internal communications.
- Create engaging visual assets such as infographics, motion graphics, social media graphics, and short-form digital content optimized for modem platforms
- Manage and execute printing and custom finishing projects using digital printing and finishing equipment, ensuring high-quality output and efficiency
- Maintain AP A brand standards across all visual materials and recommend updates based on current design trends and digital best practices
- Collaborate with communications staff to plan and execute visual strategies for campaigns, initiatives, and announcements
- Assist in content planning for social media, providing design insight and suggesting visually driven content ideas
- Organize and archive digital assets to ensure efficient retrieval and reuse
